Our Story

It all began in 2017 when Gaurav Bubna, Ajay Bulusu and Shaolin Zheng met at Grab.

While building and leading Grab’s Geo team, they saw how critical location technology was for businesses — and the positive impact it has for customer delight, operational efficiency or even sustainability. Existing options, however, followed a one-size-fits-all approach, which meant they were expensive, not customizable enough and didn’t fit all the use cases.

Fast forward to 2020, fueled by a vision to make location tech more accessible and flexible, the trio launched NextBillion.ai.

This belief in making sophisticated location technology more accessible and easier to use, is at the heart of everything we do — from products we build to the team we’ve assembled.
